Air Export Branch Manager JFK  (Large Air and Ocean Freight Forwarder)

Our firm is conducting a very confidential search for an Air Export Branch Manager for a very large and successful Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding company.

In this position you will:

• Manage all aspects of the daily Air Export Operations of the Branch.
• Oversee the Customer Service department.
• Oversee the Sales department to include 3 regional Sales Representatives.
• Have responsibility for all budgets and expense management.
• Have responsibility for productivity and profitability.
• Oversee the companies Quality Management System.
• Manage all staff and staff functions.
• Have responsibility for all communication to corporate management.

Requirements:

• A demonstrable and successful track record of Air Freight Forwarding Operations Management is the primary and most important requirement.  5-10 years experience is required.
• A team oriented and outgoing personality with proven leadership skills is highly valued.
• Strong computer, math and communication skills are a must.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of TSA requirements.
• You must be very detail oriented and have a very positive “can do” attitude.
• A BS or BA degree is preferred, however experience is heavily considered.
• Sales experience in your background is highly valued as you will have interface with customers and assist in the sales process when needed.

Compensation:

• Base Salary – $XX-XX,000 or commensurate with experience + Bonus  + Benefits

• Management Incentive Bonus based on performance  (Generally accounts for 1/3 of annual wages but depends on performance. Could be more or less)
• $XXX mo. car allowance
• $150/mo. cell phone reimbursement
• Medical / Dental / Vision Insurance with Cigna
• 401K after 1 year (Company matches xx to xx)
• Paid Time Off
